VCA Metroplex Animal Hospital is a full-service medical facility. We provide complete wellness care for all of your pet’s life stages from birth through his/her senior years. If a pet medical issue or emergency should arise, we can help!

Our hospital's compassionate and expert medical team has years of experience in companion animal medicine, and their goal is to partner with you to provide the most comprehensive and best quality medical care so that your pet lives a longer, healthier and happier life. Our facility also has the finest support staff available. We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a doctor on staff at all times. As a progressive, full-service hospital, we offer all the services necessary to maintain and promote the health of your pet. Our hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA); this certification means that we maintain very high standards for safety, record-keeping, anesthesia, diagnostics, nursing care and housekeeping. Our facility is inspected regularly in order to maintain these high standards. Our technicians and front office personnel are highly-trained professionals, and they all are primarily concerned with the health of your pet and providing you with outstanding client service. In an Emergency

Your emergency needs can be met right here at our hospital.VCA Metroplex Animal Hospital & Pet Lodge provides 24 hour emergency veterinary care, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Emergency veterinarians, veterinary technicians and/or veterinary assistants are on staff 24 hours a day.

Please call us at 972-438-7113. We are located at 700 West Airport Freeway. Irving, TX 75062.We provide the highest standard in veterinary emergency and critical care services. We are trained and equipped to perform a variety of emergency surgeries and procedures.

We provide the highest standards of pain management. Emergency internal medicine consultations, including full diagnostics, are available.

Please call or come in immediately if you feel your pet is having an emergency or needs after-hours care.  


Surgery Drop Off Hours

If your pet is scheduled for surgery please have the pet at the clinic between 7:00am - 8:00am.


Boarding Drop Off Hours

The Pet Lodge hours are Monday thru Friday from 7am-7pm. You may drop off and pick up your pet 24 hours a day ($26.00 after hours fee for pick ups and drop offs between 7:00pm-7:00am).

  • Puppy Rescue Mission

    Puppy Rescue Mission is a 501c3 registered charity and a certified domestic non-profit in Texas.

    The Puppy Rescue Mission works to fund-raise and assist in pet rescue, foster and re-homing when needed, in particular pets of soldiers, especially those deployed in war zones. They assist with requests, logistics, administration and fund-raising for the adopted stray dogs of war rescued by and bonded with soldiers. This may include vet care, supplies, transport and related issues. They work with or through other organizations that help soldiers bring their companion animals home from war.
